Walnut
I use the hardest grade of walnut which often has quite a lot of figure and if you pair it with Sitka master grade Sitka spruce the guitar will be very responsive - you wont have to dig in or play hard to get the response!
If you pair it with cedar it will be slightly warmer but the response is even faster.

The Lowden Jazz is fitted with an board pickup as standard. The soundbox is voiced for a really great acoustic response, and at the same time stiff enough to prevent the whole guitar from overreacting when played loud through a sound system.
